You’ll dive into the basics of shaping, get familiar with materials and tools, break down board design and anatomy, learn key shaping techniques, practice them hands-on, and wrap up with the essentials of fin placement and configuration.
The workshop ends with a practical hands-on explanation of surfboard repair with both Polyester and Epoxy resin.

A complete, 10-day deep dive through every step of building a surfboard from scratch.

The full shaping course guides you through every step of building a surfboard, from the initial project discussion and outline design to hands-on shaping, lamination, coating, sanding, and finishing. The course concludes with a Q&A and review of all lessons to solidify your skills.

Originally from Italy, his shaping path has taken him through Portugal and Western Australia, where he learned, refined, and expanded his skills. His expertise encompasses a comprehensive 360° spectrum — from shaping to glassing to finishing — Alex approaches every board with care and precision. His calm, approachable style makes him an ideal mentor for anyone looking to learn or deepen their understanding of surfboard building.
